Passionate
JillMarie is a cute lady who is passionate about children. Her concern has aided in my family developing healthier mealtime habits. She also has a music teacher and nature teacher come in to visit weekly. Update: I'm not allowed to leave two reviews so hear is part two, Its been over a year since my initial review and I've seen JillMarie along with staff at CVC really care about their kiddos. JillMarie and her co-providerJulia are both sweet and seem to be very happy doing exactly what they're doing, caring for children. They have extra to share, extra food to supplement lunches, extra coats and boots for anyone in need and always extra gloves in the winter. My child comes home with arts and crafts and the pride that she has made them often. She has brought home a crown with planets all around it, a couple different butterfly-stages projects, snowmen fence planks, and so much more. I feel lucky to have my child in one of the too few spaces at CVC.
Flexible Life Saver
JillMarie came through when we were in need of some part time childcare for our seven month old son. Watching the relationship grow between the two of them was beautiful. She was there with him through many of his first. First toys, first words, first steps, and first friendships. JillMarie choosing to move out of state is the only reason her "babyO" is not still with her. JillMarie truly enjoyed teaching and working with him through his developmental stages of growth. There was nothing that my wife and I did not feel at ease speaking with her about. We were comfortable asking her for advice and confident of her suggestions. We are very happy for JillMarie to move closer to her grandchildren and look forward to visiting.

JillMarie came into my life when I was seven, unaware that she was entering a lifestyle of FAST. Her first weekend with my brother and I was spent go-carting, she's a real trooper and stayed for 12 years. She will always be my nanny and in my life. Firm and fair was fun with her. Her laughing is contagious and her fort building skills rank high. I learned from her to stay balanced. She 's quite silly with her not so fancy tricks, songs and humor. I was always amazed that she knew the name of every flower and loves them all equally. Now as an adult I see clearly that children are her joy in life. She's a #1 fan of mine and I too am a great fan of her.
Patient, kind and determined
We can only start to thank you for all you've done over these last ten months for C. What a journey it has been....and we continue to embark on with her. You have been patient, kind, determined, warm, creative and loving, embracing her for all she brings. I'm certain that our paths will continue to cross but in the meantime, Thank you-from all of us-for your hard work!! It means so so much to us.

I could not be happier, spending my days with the children at CVC. My son Colton was the first child to enroll in 2017, I loved it immediately. He's still enrolled in the after school. program, now in 1st. I am proud to share that now I'm the one spending most of my day at CVC. I've worked very hard to complete the requirements, I am now certified. with background checks, finger printing, CPR, First Aid, Standard Precautions certifications and 10 other ECE classes. Spending time with your wonderful children, enhancing their play experiences is so rewarding. I'm learning so much at the same time. Julia

Grateful
We feel grateful that we are able to have JillMarie care for our children (ages 2 and 4). She has created a fantastic environment for fostering creative play. Her back yard alone contains so many different creative play activities that our children could spend all their time there: camping, riding cars, playing in the sandbox, playing in play houses, and more. Because Centaur Village Childcare is such a small family oriented daycare, our children have formed a close relationship with JillMarie, and she is able to give them all the attention they need. JillMarie looks out for the special needs of each of our children, and she always communicates any concerns quickly. Our children enjoy coming to Centaur Village Childcare and look forward to the activities each week. JillMarie brings in outside experts that teach music and nature lessons, and she has invented many creative art projects that our children have enjoyed working on and bringing home to share with us. We feel safe bringing our children to Centaur Village Childcare, because the families of all the children are vaccinated and because appropriate COVID protocols are followed. We are happy that our children have a safe place to play and interact with other children their age during these challenging times. years as the nanny and personal caretaker of our grandsons Kyle and Caden. During that period she also performed many other households tasks as well as other administrative responsibilities. Outside Awesomeness
My son looks forward to CVC and is sometimes disappointed to hear it is Saturday or Sunday. Hearing this means he won't be able to play in "his" yard. This yard is outside awesomeness. Never before have we experienced such calm drop-offs. We go in the front door and he goes out the back. door. The yard at CVC is never ending fun with a huge grassy area, large patio for riding toys, water, sand, rocks, and sticks. Even a couple 4-wheeling bikes with no restrictions to where you can ride. Inside fun is plentiful also with so many toys, games, activities and projects. CVC has weekly visits with a Spanish teacher, a music teacher and Miss Natalie from Wild Within Reach . We are already sad knowing this will be his last years at CVC before going to Kindergarten.

Knowing that Julia had loving, caring and comfortable space to go to was a major part of easing our stress moving far from home to a new place. CVC has been her second home since living here. Personalization
As someone with a Phd in Special Education from UCLA, with a significant background in early childhood development practices, I was exceptionally picky when it came to what daycare my child would attend. Most importantly, I wanted to find a provider that truly understood the tenets of personalization, which incorporates developmental needs and my child's interests to motivate her in the long-term. I wanted someone who would partner with me in making the best choices for my child. I wanted to find someone who had a solid understanding of each teaching methodology, and valued building relationships among the children and their families. I found all of this and more in JillMarie LaCroix. From the moment my husband and I met JillMarie, I knew that she had truly embodied these pieces, and that she was the right fit for our family. I knew that dropping off my child to a provider at 14 weeks old would be challenging for me, but JillMarie truly made it as smooth as possible. Her advice is so incredibly helpful, and she is just a wonderful human being. Truly, once you visit CVC and meet JillMarie, you will know it is the place for your child, too.

Friendly and Fun
JillMarie is very good with our children-she is friendly and fun; we have come home to see her playing a game of hide-and-seek on more than one occasion. She has always been very responsive and available to help when we needed coverage in childcare. After a visit at CVC our kids are worn out, happy and full of stories of the fun they had and things they learned.

Safe and Loved
Our son has been with CVC for over two years, starting there when he was 9 months old. He is absolutely safe, loved and he has learned to be gentle and compassionate with both children and adults. JillMarie puts a lot of thought into new experiences and ways to teach all of the children new things. JillMarie has professionals come in once a week to teach a music class and a naturalist class. JillMarie is constantly finding ways of sharing with CVC families local current events and resources. JillMarie has demonstrated immense flexibility and kindness with the curveballs that life has thrown at us. Warm, inviting and peaceful
My son is a 3rd grader and goes to CVC 2-3 days a week after school. He is always excited to go & always happy when I pick him up. He says JillMarie does a "good job" of providing him with healthy snacks and fun activities to do, and establishes good rules that keep everyone safe. I agree with this 100%! JillMarie is excellent at communicating with me when needed & I always feel my child is being cared for greatly. Three words to describe CVC, warm, inviting and peaceful. My son says he feels like he is at his grandmas.

Locating a daycare that had space for an infant was close to impossible. Ending up at CVC was a blessing. Miss JillMarie is a natural with children, especially babies. Her holding my baby looks like 2 puzzle pieces fitting together. With a crib in her main room our baby is always within her sight, even while he sleeps. She includes the younger ones in the outside education also. It is apparent that she is very educated, experienced, and loves children. This is shown by her actions and words, you can see how at ease she is with them. With an additional teacher working with her at all times I feel my child is getting the attention he needs and is in a safe environment. We feel very fortunate to have signed up with Centaur Village Childcare. Lucky us!
